We are proud to say that our U.S. farm-raised chicken pieces are dehydrated, which occurs using a cooking process where we slow roast the chicken at a low temperature for over 12 hours to remove the moisture. Each of our real fruit and veggies pieces are also dried using a similar process, and we do not use any artificial preservatives, colors or artificial flavors in our Nutrish DISH® from Nutrish® recipes.
The chicken pieces contain more than 95% chicken. It also contains glycerin (a natural preservative), brown sugar (a natural colorant and flavor), salt (for flavor), natural smoke flavor, and mixed tocopherals (a natural preservative). The chicken pieces are slow cooked at a low temperature to maintain a soft, chewy texture.
